We had an exceptional time soaking in the lovely, small traditional Japanese onsen set right on the river, with amazing river views from the rooms and outdoor baths. Staff was attentive and caring, even accommodating our vegan diet and serving lavish breakfast and dinner. Location-wise, we were impressed with the easy access to the public transportation, as it was located very close to the bus stop.
It was a bit pricier than expected, but considering its location and services, it was worth the splurge.

The outdoor Onsen with great views of the river and mountains is a wonderful experience. the personalized service offered by the polite and attentive staff is exceptional. the intimate atmosphere of the small building is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway.
The traditional futon beds on the floor may not be comfortable for everyone. the price may be a bit expensive and could be a constraint for those on a tight budget.

The beautiful traditional ryokan building and stunning outdoor onsen with views of the river were definitely the best aspects of our city break in this area. the attentive staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
We found the cost to be extremely high compared to other similar accommodations in the area. there wasn't much to do in close proximity to the ryokan without a car.
